LINK – Cross-national interdisciplinary network for communication in natural science

Together with some other institutions the “School Biology Centre – NaturErlebnisPark” instigated a new project about ten years ago. The idea was to provide a basis for diverse projects, in which unemployed people can gather work experience in the field of culture, sciences and sustainable, environmental education. Therefore the Styrian government founded an organisation in cooperation with the regional employment office and several institutions. Since the beginning we have offered special programs to create places of employment within that framework together with our project partners. In cross disciplinary projects we provide an opportunity for unemployed people to increase their qualification in technical and scientific expertise by training on the job. To make sure that the working conditions for each person is interesting and challenging we have developed a special work plan and a special concept for advanced training.
